Premier Ship Models Company Information

Premier Ship Models trades both through the internet and at shows.

The company started trading in 2000, with the first web site launched in 2001. This makes us one of the longest running specialist ship model company, and is evidenced by the amount of customer references.

We are based in the UK, and a registered limited company (registration number 4208528). Additionally, we are VAT registered (registration number is 01305396).

We are also members of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and the British Marine Federation (BMF).

Hello Rashid,

Many thanks for your help with the Santa Maria Model.

We successfully completed filming on Saturday, with the ship model being one of the last things that was shot on. It looked very good on camera, I worked with a local model maker and painter to give the ship a patina of having been used and at sea of many years.

All worked well.

The ship is now being sent to the Advertising Agency in New York, so that it can be made available to the visual effects company if they need it during the Post Production process!

Some Air miles It will have collected over the past few weeks.

Thanks for the opportunity to work with you and Premier Ship Models on Tidewater's model projects! With one model project complete and another to be delivered in approximately 2 months, I can confidently say that Tidewater has been very satisfied with the Premier products As with many projects, our time lines have been shortened yet Premier has maintained their quality throughout! I would say the largest challenges in the Chief project were the new customs agent who delayed the Chief model delivery and the carrier who appeared to have dropped a pallet of models causing damage to some of the models.

Throughout the process though Premier has been responsive to Tidewater's needs, engaged in continual communication throughout the model build process and quickly delivered replacements for damaged models! All in all, we were very satisfied!

Our latest project with Premier is another tugboat model which is scheduled to be given as a gift to our employees (first model went to employees and customers). Tidewater delayed the project for a number of months and once again Premier has come through with a time line which meets our needs. I look forward to the delivery of the Rebel and hope our paths cross once again! Please feel free to share this reference as needed..thanks again for your efforts!

This letter is to serve as notice of my Company's appreciation of the work carried out by Premier Ship Models Ltd regarding the design, construction and delivery of five model ships for a project Rich Creation International Ltd has to fit out the currently 'in-progress' installation of 'Hong Kong's first full Maritime Museum'.

We first commissioned Premier Ship Models in early 2004 for a very urgent delivery on custom making ship models of the Batavia and San Felipe Galleons. This then increased to additional orders for a further two model historical model ships of the Borobodur and Perahu vessels and lastly, late in 2004, a Singalese model sailing boat.

The entire project continued to undergo many design changes and even resulted in the change of size/scale of the model ship Batavia. All accommodated without problem by PSM. They worked very professionally and did significant research on the later commissioned model ships as our client had little information on these historical ships.

Constant delays and our clients change of mind on needs, finishing, ageing of the model ships etc added complexities to already difficult tasks, but in the end we received on time very excellent wooden ship models, highly detailed and fine finishing. The shipping and packing was excellent, and all five ship models received after a near 3 week journey by sea were without damage.

We found Rashid and his staffs' service to be very helpful, timely and professional in every respect. We will and hope to use them again on other projects and further commissions for this Museum as it expands and creates new displays. The general quality, service and reliability has proved its worth in using them over less expensive options, but in saying that we still find them to be highly competitive and value for money. We would recommend them to any other prospective client for the provision of high quality maritime ship models.

When confronted with two projects for the BBC 'Ancestors' both requiring detailed model ships, and both with a tight budget and limited timescale, I was initially at a loss. Fortunately a quick search on the web introduced the BBC to Premier Ship Models.

Having met with Rashid to discuss my requirements, objectives and timescales, I was sincerely astonished with both his enthusiasm and the detailed quality of his company's ship models.

Despite an almost impossible schedule, his extraordinary team of craftsfolk managed to deliver '2 x 8 feet' ship models of the HMS Beagle and HMS Bellona -on time and more importantly on budget!!

Dear Sir / Madam

May I thank you all for the custom-build project of the fishing boat 'ORCA', as seen in the movie JAWS that I commisioned with you in early December of last year.

The boat has arrived securely without any damage, and I am very impressed with the amount of craftsmanship. The interior of the cabin detailing is incredible, along with the intricate sculpting of the 'Fighting Chair' at the stern of the boat.

May I please ask that you thank all of your team involved in this project who were throughout, professional, helpful and very patient with my constant requests of changes to be made during the construction process.

The 'ORCA' replica has now taken pride of place in my home along with numerous other film-related memorabilia. With a collection of original movie props from movies such as JAWS, TERMINATOR 2 & DIE HARD to name just a few, I am pleased to tell you that I personally think that this boat is going to command the most attention!

The kit arrived Friday morning. I was very impressed from the richness and quality of the model. I'm familiar with Artesania's products but this one is very impressive.

I managed to cover the first 14 pages of the instructions and you can see where I'm standing at the moment.
